Their *guess* is that it has something to do with the switch that detects the car is in park. But changing that switch involves a huge amount of labor. They recommend waiting to be sure. Rear shocks needed replacing The key would just rotate, not start anything. They fixed that by cleaning and lubricating the pins in the lock.
