I will have to replace the new (but bad) alternator again this week. I also replaced the serpentine belt while I had it off as it looked rather old. Alternator's and ESPECIALLY the alternator pigtail connector are common failure items for this Focus generation. I will now be replacing battery/alternator/starter cables, alternator pgitail connector, and the alternator.
