2005 Volkswagen Passat 4dr Sedan

190-horsepower 2.8L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic FWD

88660 mi My drivers door suddenly won't open from inside or outside no matter what I do . I have tried all the fixits on the internet and none of them work. The only viable one seems to be removing fuse 14 but VW in their infinite wisdom have put the fuse panel where you can't get at it with the door closed.??? I cannot get the inner panel off so I am going to have to remove the front fender and unscrew the door hinges and take the door off to get at the fuse panel. Failing that I now can remove the locking mechanism completely and find out what switches are faulty. Drivers door will not open from outside or inside.Removed locking mechanism and broken inside of door handle. will replace both later .
