HVAC blend doors failed - stuck on dash setting - would not change to defrost or floor. Known problem with this generation ('02-'08) truck. Entire assembly replaced including new heater core and new evaporator (required as the replacement assemblies had been redesigned). All parts except the heater core sourced from the manufacturer through the dealer. Brought vehicle in for new tires and annual state safety inspection. Found three of the four ball joints bad - would not pass inspection. Replaced bother lower control arms/ball joints and drivers side upper ball joint. Repair complicated by the fact the lower ball joints are riveted to the lower control arms. Shop ended up replacing both lower control arms (w/new ball joints). Parts not in stock or available for two days.
