Red line on threaded post apparently indicates how far part can vibrate loose before cracking when pulled. oil level minimum before road trip; added 1 quart, up to full. Check engine light (not low oil light) came on after about 150 miles highway driving. Light stayed on through trip and for days after. Ran engine with Motor Flush gunk thinner and changed oil and filter since 500 miles short of next change interval. Light went off immediately. No chance for OBD2 test.
