2008 Honda Civic 4dr Sedan
197-horsepower 2.0L I4 6-speed manual FWD
50000 mi
Another failure of a sun visor.
400 mi
rubber lining on passenger door was falling out due to bad oem install; repair involved complete replacement of that lining.
The problem was a p0456. That could be a lot of different things, including a gas cap leaking air. (It could also be a leak anywhere in the fuel system.) I bought a new OEM gas cap, as I'd been told that gas caps account for 90% of check engine lights with this number. Either it did not solve the problem, or I will have to disconnect the battery to see if it does, and I haven't done that yet.
44700 mi
Rattling window visor, replaced for free.
1000 mi
Misaimed headlight at time of delivery.
59000 mi
Right visor broke -- it would no longer stay in the up position. It was replaced with no cost.
13000 mi
Broken/defective driver side sun visor which is a known problem with this year Civic. Because of recent California law it was replaced under extended warranty. Waiting for passenger side to fail now.
Drivers window would pop out of the seal. Problem started at approx. 12k miles. It took until now for them to service issue. Third civic hybrid in family with problem (2006 and two 2008 models)
28000 mi
Window mechanism repaired.
27000 mi
Drivers side window slips out of channel. TSB for this.
27000 mi
US $280
Driver's side mirror rivet popped off and mirror was no longer flush. Manufacture warranty covered replacement. Oil change, oil filter, and air filter changed.
9000 mi
Right rear passenger wheel continually has a slow leak. When the pressure tested the wheel they said it was good. Two weeks later and the wheel only had 18psi. There is a problem and I will be taking it back.
Makes odd buzzing noise inside dashboard when turning key in ignition. Randomly occurs so it is hard to reproduce. Does not seem to affect anything at the moment. Probably electrical.
