Rattling, banging in suspension, felt generally horrible on all but the most perfect road - bushings apparently needed to be replaced, known problem by Mazda. Tech recommended other suspension parts that were involved in same work to be replaced so I did those as well. Door handle broke - heard an interior clip or pin snap or release. Handle still functioned but not the same, didn't have the return spring it had prior and was loose. Inquired about a whistling / wind sound from car interior driver side, turns out it was a failing brake booster. PCM flashed / updated due to brake booster replacement. Took Car in for Transmission Diagnostic due to stumble / rough shift in fourth 3rd/4th gear and sometimes in 2nd/3rd. Dealer had for 2 weeks and could not reproduce the problem. Mazda Totalcare warranty company claimed not enough evidence to even send tech out for test drive. I was faced about 4 hours of diagnostic tests at $130/hr or transmission tear down. Mazda seemed to think it was fine and believed it to be a throttle body cleaning issue so I opted to decline both of those options as it was a very expensive gamble and figured perhaps I was wrong, although my gut said that I was in fact right which was unfortunately confirmed on a recent vacation not long after these events. Engine threw code from last trip to dealer, didn't get off the lot without another code. I believe it was P2178. Indicated a bunch of fuel system stuff that was too complex for me to fix. Took a gamble that it was something serious and would be paid by Mazda Totalcare...lost that gamble as it they believed it needed and it it ended up being just an expensive throttle body cleaning. Wife reported brake system acting up...almost hit a car because couldn't stop, said brake pedal would not depress enough. I didn't think much of it and thought problem was possibly her...then when we picked up the car after the throttle body cleaning it did again and was equally dangerous / scary. I had her turn right around and take the car right back and told them that the problem had occurred again and that it had been going on intermittently since the brake booster was replaced during the last repair trip. After evaluating the brake system, dealership concluded it was some excess air in the lines from the brake booster replacement and bled them a little more which has fixed the problem.

Had to change lower control arm on all four corners; and front shocks. Car sounded really bad, and had to make the choice between let go or move on - ultimately decided to move on. Replaced rear rotors, pads, and calipers... Calipers were seized. Compressor died. New a/c compressor bought and installed; then another electrical problem appeared and shop had to work on the system for another day to resolve.

tire wear shows rear end toe in ( /- ). Noise in rear, esp over bumps. Shop found broken rear shock, and replaced bushings. Vent airflow direction controller tab on pssgr side/nr window fell off. Happened once before, but found part and re-installed. This time, replacing it altogether. Car burned 1 litre of oil since last service. Tipped up with 20W50 between oil changes. Told to monitor condition and see if continues. Shop indicated the wrong coolant was used in car. Car has always been dealer serviced so dealer must have made error. Had system flushed and new coolant applied. Concerned on implications with premature oil loss.

Car rear still making noise as a result of TSB manufacturing issue - weld bead interferes with spring movement, causing rubbing and damage. Weld bead needed to be smoothed to <2mm so it does not bind spring action.
