2009 Honda Fit Pros and Cons Member5723 The fuel economy in this car is great. Only about 15% of my driving is on the highway, and in New England winter I'm still getting about 30mpg, and I don't consider myself to be a very economical driver. |
2009 Honda Fit Pros and Cons A member in Illinois, United States The engine is smooth and peppy. The transmission is pretty well sorted, save for some unusual 1st gear start jerkiness (light throttle helps). The paddle shifters are a fun novelty. |

2009 Honda Fit Pros and Cons A member in Arizona, United States I rented the car for a weekend & my gas mileage from Phoenix, to Flagstaff & back to Phoenix was only 28.8 mpg This car had an automatic tranny. Engine rmp always sounded BUSY & noisey |

2009 Honda Fit Pros and Cons Member3593 I love the fuel economy. Generally it averages 35 mpg in mixed-driving. It is so nice to be able to go an entire week on a single tank instead of needing to fill up 2+ times a week. |

2009 Honda Fit Pros and Cons A member in North Dakota, United States Not so much quietness, as rough riding. When the windows are up the car was quiet enough. One very disturbing this was that if the doors were closed and windows up and you had the radio/stereo on, you could hear the music (hardly muffled at all) outside! |

2009 Honda Fit Pros and Cons A member in Massachusetts, United States Reasonably responsive throttle for such a little engine. Great turning radius. Handles corners smoothly. |
2009 Honda Fit Pros and Cons Member4225 Well designed and screwed together to last a long time. |

2009 Honda Fit Pros and Cons Member4022 Very underpowered with any added weight beyond driver + passenger. |
2009 Honda Fit Pros and Cons Member4022 a great deal of cargo capacity. |

2009 Honda Fit Pros and Cons Member1189 WIth 21 Cu. Ft in five passenger mode, this car is actually practical for a family of four (one a baby) on road trips. Hard to believe, but true. The seats flip down to accommodate truck-like payloads. |
2009 Honda Fit Pros and Cons Member3886 The 2009 Honda Fit is significantly longer than previous models and offers a greater feeling of spaciousness while at the same time offering good visibility |
2009 Honda Fit Pros and Cons Member3346 The Fit drives better than the Prius, although you probably feel the bumps more. |
2009 Honda Fit Pros and Cons Member3618 The steering is extremely nimble and it just a fun car to drive all-around. |
2009 Honda Fit Pros and Cons Member3578 Very good fuel economy, even better in real life (versus EPA estimates). Surprisingly spacious inside. |
2009 Honda Fit Pros and Cons Member3577 I love the FE so far. Only have 650 miles but acheived 43.89 mpg on first full tank with manual calc. So far on this tank, at about same level. 5M helps tremendously. Shift @ 2k on flat surfaces and not over 60 on hwy. I... |

2009 Honda Fit Pros and Cons A member in Utah, United States It is really reliable. |
2009 Honda Fit Pros and Cons Member1366 Enough head room for a tall person in front seats. On the Civic, my head was bumping against the visor. However on the FIT the seat height is *not* adjustable, on the Civic it is. |
2009 Honda Fit Pros and Cons Member3306 Not a hybid but appears to be able to top 40 mpg with careful driving. |

2009 Honda Fit Pros and Cons Member2784 Cars to avoid: Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris and Smart Car. Why? They all failed front impact crash tests. They are sub-compact death traps. |
