2013 Dodge Charger 4dr Sedan

370-horsepower 5.7L V8 5-speed shiftable automatic RWD

24700 mi The trunk kept popping open on its own. TSB 08-084-13A addressed the problem. The trunk switch was replaced. No further problems.
11000 mi Heated/vent seats not operative some times. Buttons grayed out. Not able to turn on. Temp controls not responding again. The temp that was set on startup could not be changed unless system was shut off and re-started at a different temp. Replaced wire harness. Worked at dealer. Next day same problem.
15600 mi Temp controls do not function properly. Can't change temp once the unit has been turned on. It's an intermittent problem. Dealer tested it, worked fine. Worked for 2 days after then quit functioning again. Hit and miss problem.
27000 mi

US $109
One of the paddle shifters would only work occasionally. Dealer was able to duplicate the problem and replaced the paddle shifter. The temperature controls have failed intermittently since the car was new. Have had it into two different dealers an they were not able to reproduce the problem. This time they were and replaced a sensor, an actuator and installed a software update. One of the drivers side overhead map lights would stay on any time the car was being driven. Replaced a switch This was a recall for a possible failure of a diode in the alternator. They replaced the entire alternator.
30000 mi Alternator inspected, Recall S68. I had been getting an ozone smell from that baby since it was new. No parts available at the time.
14800 mi New alternator installed.
25000 mi "Power save mode" light would flash on info center periodically. Never had this looked into.

4000 mi Unknown. Developed tennis-ball sort of sound. Dealer diagnosed and replaced HVAC blend air door. Sound persists.
7000 mi HVAC system was not responding to controls. Heat would come out of the vents when set for fresh air, AC would go on by itself. USB port lighted up but no power or connectivity through it. Unable to synch phone to bluetooth. HVAC was not responding to temp or system controls. Tech later linked this to the radio. Radio replaced later, after wrong radio was shipped and a visit wasted. Then USB malfunctioned.
7000 mi HVAC as earlier reported linked to radio linked to USB which also had a bad cable which is being repaired Aug. 26. At least six visits to dealer for these repairs. New radio presets NOGO. USB still NOGO. Neither is dealer's outgoing phone apparently since they rarely manage to call me. They supposedly contacted Chrysler and ordered another part for USB. Dealership sold 8/31. Good luck!
