Have experienced intermittent reductions in power while driving car on track during high performance driving events. I finally had one that left a diagnostic code showing a cylinder 8 misfire above 5600 rpm. This problem was sent to GM and GM Engineers determined the charge cooling system did not have a sufficient coolant level and instructed the dealer shop to vacuum fill the charge cooling system until there was no air gap below the filler cap. The next time I went to the track I encountered the loss of power but saw no check engine light. Despite GM engineering believing the charge cooling system caused the issue I don't believe they know for sure and with a problem that only occurs intermittently when I am driving at very high speeds (140 mph) on a track it is very hard to collect meaningful data.

While driving the car on track I have been having intermittent high rpm misfires which result in reduced performance. Received advisory email from GM Engineering that a TSB had been released in March 2018 to address the issue and to take the car back to the dealer to have the intercooler system bled with a new tool. Also received explicit description of how much air should be at the top of the reservoir. When air was removed car performed much better.

Car went briefly into limp mode. Shut off, restarted, was fine and no recurrence. Checked at Ingersoll Chevy Danbury. All ok but code for module fault. Routine oil change. Car is wonderful. No further problems
