2dr Coupe 225-horsepower 3.2L V6 5-speed shiftable automatic FWD

Why the 2002 Acura CL?

Fuel economy

It is nowhere as close to 4 cylinders or hybrids, but given it is a V6 with decent power it puts out very good highway mileage. I took it to Vegas and got 30.2 mpg. Average in the city range from 21 to 26, depending how much city driving you have.

Powertrain performance

Very responsive engine. My car has 152,000 miles and it drives like day one. Great engine smoothness, can be both aggressive and smooth daily driver.

Reliability & durability

Never breaks down, min. maintenance required. I put down 50k miles and all I did was engine/tranny oil changes, brakes, tires etc. Everything works. Honda is a brand you can trust that will go on forever. I think this car can get to 250k miles and over.

Feature availability

Acura are very well equipped and has few trim options. Navigation, heated seats, memory seats, moonroof, dual power seats, leather etc. 6 in dash CD, HID headlights all loaded without extra charge.

Why Not the 2002 Acura CL?

Safety & braking

The car is very nose heavy and the brakes are weak during hard braking when fully seated.

Exterior styling

Very edgy head that looks like TL of the same year and a rounded rear out of nowhere. It doesnt blend very well I think. Old fashion squarish light housings that u see in 90s. Weird looking fog lights.

Color choices

Normal typical colors. Nothing special.

Handling

Front wheel drive, nose heavy. Hard corners require some efforts. Of course, this car is not build for spirited driving, so the suspension and soft in mountain driving. But at least better than toyota and lexus which is way too soft.
