We've owned several Acura's over the past 13 years, this is the first SUV. The past has proven their reliability as long as you maintain them. I mean the basic prescribed routine care every 5,000 miles. I've driven many different American made vehicles supplied by my Company over the span of the last 35 years and none can compare with how Acura's hold up or perform, even with the same routine care and still offer the resale value that they do. full 2012 Acura MDX review

TrueDelta Reviews the Reliability And Durability of the 2015 Honda Pilot

2015 Honda Pilot Reliability And Durability: Neutral
YearComment
2016 Since it's so new, the 2016 Honda Pilot's reliability is not yet known. But the related Acura MDX has been glitchy, and car owners have been complaining about the nine-speed automatic employed in the Touring and Elite in a number of different cars. In contrast, the Toyota Highlander has a proven record, making it a safer bet. full 2016 Honda Pilot review

2015 Honda Pilot Reliability And Durability: Cons

2012 4dr SUV 250-horsepower 3.5L V6

We had owned a Honda Accord and a Honda CRV previously, and so we expected this Pilot to be as well built and trouble free. Not so. We've had multiple problems with the HVAC system. For example, the a/c turns itself on despite manual override. The color of the bumper is aging differently (yellowing) compared to the body. Motors in the side-view mirrors have repeatedly failed. full 2012 Honda Pilot review
