Brakes began to shudder badly when driving down mountain pass. Shudder went away after brakes had a chance to cool. Happened several times. Dealer resurfaced rotors. I have not driven car in area to verified fix yet. It may not be fixed. Update: Aug 2016 Front pads and rotors were replaced ($460) at 129,000 miles. The brakes feel much better now. I think the problem is gone. |
7800 mi | Front Rotor and Pads were going pretty early on this car, by 35,000 miles. I usually get much more from that on a car because I drive smoothly and downshift alot. I count that as a problem on this model |

205-horsepower 2.4L I4 5-speed shiftable automatic FWD
40000 mi | I believe the issue was/is a stuck brake caliper, but of course, the dealer "could not replicate" the problem. Rear brake caliper appeared to be seized up as evidenced by the one disc showing rust and no sign of brake-pad contact. Grinding sound associated with problem. Dealer said "Could not replicate," and sound was gone when I picked the car up. |
