Acura Reliability for the Year Ending June 30, 2018

General NotesHow do we select "competing car models"? Users of TrueDelta's car price comparison tool most often compare these cars to the Acura.

Models and statistics marked with an asterisk (*) have very low sample sizes. These results, visible only to logged-in members, provide only a rough estimate of car reliability.

Any result under 5 repair trips per 100 cars is likely a result of the small sample size, and should be expected to increase in future updates.

New models often start out with high repair rates, and then improve as the manufacturer identifies and addresses common problems. MethodologyOnly successfully completed repairs are currently included in the analysis. Routine maintenance, most wear items, recalls, and problems fixed with just a reflash or warning light reset are not included.

I mean the basic prescribed routine care every 5,000 miles. 5-speed shiftable automatic FWD		 A total of more than 33000 miles with this car and the only issue of note is a minor rattle that came up that I isolated to the dash gauge cluster cover. My local dealership took care of this under warranty and haven't had any further issues. The engine is a thing of beauty; just give it regular oil and filter changes. see full Acura review

10-speed shiftable automatic AWD		 The sort of quality you'd traditionally expect from a Honda Motor Company product simply wasn't there. The audio controls were flaky from the beginning; changing the track might increase the volume. Lowering the volume might lower the volume or might raise it. Oil consumption started to become a concern. Squeaks and rattles galore. The hood opening sensor failed one night, setting off the car alarm every 20 minutes. see full Acura review
