The warning has turned off, but the engine does not turn off at stops. There is a message that displays the auto-turn off symbol with a line through it. We were told by the service people, at temps below 10F, the battery needs a trickle charger to hold a charge. We bought one. We charged the battery on a weekend night, overnight, once a week. The problem went away. Personally I think this is bad design on BMW's part - too much draw on the battery.

8300 mi At about 7,500 miles idrive screen display stopped working. Diagnosed as "radio head unit" defective and replaced. I was told retail cost of repair if not on warranty would be about $2,000. 
8000 mi In for a second replacement radio. Vehicle wouldn't play satellite radio or some book-on-CD recorded books. Replacement radio seems to fix all but CD issue.  Rear hatch opens when the vehicle is in the driveway. A design defect triggered by inadvertent button pushes on the remote while in one's pocket. 
28000 mi This car's CD player can't play more than half of the commercially produced books on CD that I have used with no problem in numerous other non-BMW vehicles. The dealer can't resolve it and a call to BMW's "genius" group went nowher 
35800 mi Continuation of same problem described previously -- many CDs do not play on CD player. Dealer consulted with manufacturer for several days. Not resolved. Supposedly awaiting BMW engineer further input. Dealer tells me a BMW engineer has now told them my CD player, unlike any vehicle CD player I have ever used, cannot play standard recorded book CDs for some format incompatibility reason. Why don't they advise of this limitation before sale
