Buick LaCrosse reviews by car owners that get to the point: car buyers' reasons for buying (or not buying) the LaCrosse
Exterior styling: Great look, cute and sporty
Reliability & durability: Too many service/reliability issues, and GM was unwilling to fix a problem that kept reoccuring
Interior styling: WOW, looks, comfort, roomy seating.
Handling: control, steering, handling. control on the road but quite nice ride.
Ride smoothness: dont hear and feel every bump.
Materials & workmanship: finished as well as 40k cars. nothing loose, tight fit, soft textured materials
Quietness: no wind noise, very very quite. you can have the music low and talk and not even hear the road WOW
Exterior styling: Great looking design overall
Ride smoothness: Suspension soaks up irregularities in road surfaces
Quietness: Super quiet ride. Doors have double seals on them. Glass is triple laminated glass.
Interior styling: Great interior styling . Looks better than it's Europeon competition
Powertrain performance: 3.6 liter motor has good pep.
Fuel economy: Fuel economy not as good as Ford Taurus. Transmisson shifts down alot when in hilly conditions
Driving position & visibility: Side window pillars are large and block alot of view. Creates alot of blind spots. Make sure to but blind spot package.
Cargo capacity & towing: Trunk is small for this size car.
Driving position & visibility: Front pillars and large sideview mirrors makes left-hand turning a little scary.
Cargo capacity & towing: Heavy trunk hinges intrude on cargo space. Shape of trunk and trunk opening does not lend itself to good cargo space.
Fuel economy: I guess it isn't too bad. Been averaging around 21 around town and as much as 24 to 29 on the open highway. Needing only regular fuel is a plus.
Available features: You'll have a hard time finding a car in this price range with all the convenience and technology features in one place. The Heads Up Display is especially nice. Lots of features well thought through.
Quietness: Lots of effort went into sound deadening with this car. No appreciable wind noise, even at high speed. No need to crank the radio to compensate for road noise, though if you get the 19" tire option, you'll hear more of it than the 18"
Exterior styling: Just a classy looking car. Combine it with the Mocha Steel Metallic paint and you have a car which just whispers elegance. Smooth flowing lines, really nice fit and finish and just enough chrome to add accents without being overpowering.
Interior styling: The interior has been described by one of my passengers as an airplane cockpit, especially the way it lights up at night, with the soft glowing accent lights. Lots of nice touches with most controls comfortably within reach.
Audio & nav systems: Get the higher end Harman Kardon audio system. It's about the best I've heard to date in the area of stock audio systems. Nice crisp highs, very decent bass. The nav system is easy to read and use, both day and night. XM NavTraffic is nice addition.
Driving position & visibility: The A-pillars really get in the way of front corner visibility. Smallish rear window doesn't help rear visibility but isn't bad (get the back-up camera!). the front seat head rests are not at all comfortable - you'll likely need to lean the seats back.
Exterior styling: Fresh & distinctive looks.
