2012 Buick Regal GS A member from Wisconsin, United States Best Reason to Buy the Buick Regal: Powertrain performance With 270HP/295FTLB of torque coming from a turbo 4, this car wow'd me. Also, with a tune, the car can put down 300HP/330FTLB, which was a nice boost. Best Reason Not to Buy the Buick Regal: Controls and instruments The wheel is gorgeous. But what is with the Battleship layout of buttons for the radio and such? The panel is too crowded. The 2014 interior looks much better. A member from New York, United States Best Reason to Buy the Buick Regal: Handling Mike's review on the car (GS model) pushed me out to the dealership. The handling was extraordinary for a front drive with no noticeable torque steer and no plowing of the front wheels during hard power cornering.Confidence inspiring including nasty Best Reason Not to Buy the Buick Regal: Powertrain performance Never felt I needed more HP with the very slick stick, but if this car what the Europeans have (AWD 300HP),and can only imagine the increase of the fun factor. A member from California, United States Best Reason Not to Buy the Buick Regal: Handling Main problem with this car (turbo) IMO is handling. On paper it should be more powerful than CC but I did not feel it. It did not accelerate as fast and I hated feedback of the steering wheels when riding over bumps - it turned wheel in my hands. A member from Indiana, United States Best Reason to Buy the Buick Regal: Ride smoothness The ride is the best of any car I've owned. Takes bumps with aplomb and is very composed. On some of the bumpy roads around town, the Regal sorta glides over them with no jarring or body roll. Best Reason Not to Buy the Buick Regal: Driving position & visibility Tiny back window compared to what I've had in the past. Good visibility outside of that. More engine noise than in the Camry too. If I get more noise, I want more acceleration.
