Why Not the 2007 Cadillac Escalade?

Driving position & visibility

Visibility out of rear window is poor, especially with rear-passengers. Rear-view camera makes up for this when reversing, but when trying to look at rearview mirror on highway, it is tough. Also, because it high up small cars are hard to see on passenger

Reliability & durability

Many problems with the vehicle within ONLY THE FIRST YEAR OF OWNERSHIP. Front passenger side suspension failed twice, air leveling system has problems. Rough idling of engine.

Price or payments

Over $70k for the car, not only that, but gas prices are insane, cost slightly less than $100 to fill up at $3.00 per gallon. High repair costs if not under warranty.

Insurance cost

Depreciates very rapidly, better off buying this car used. Insurance is pretty high on this car when compared to other vehicles.

This review was originally a two-car comparison review. Read the other half here.
