Discounts & incentives
The rebates and incentives that came with the car were THE only reason I ever considered the Cobalt. They allowed us to "hide" some negative-equity and purchase a new car.

Controls and instruments
The controls are easy to operate and are placed intuitively.
Fuel economy
While not as impressive as some of its competitors, the Cobalt is still good for low to mid 30s if driven properly.
Materials & workmanship
There is a lot of obvoius cost-cutting in the interior materials and workmanship. It feels cheap, especially the shift knob and steering wheel.
Cargo capacity
In coupe form, the trunk is large but has a small opening. Our stroller fits easily in the trunk but can barely get through the opening. Towing is average for its class.
Rear seat room & comfort
In coupe form, the rear seats are cramped and and things can be somewhat claustrophobic in the back.
