The 2.4L engine in the non-super SS is very peppy. The VVT makes this engine feel like it is making much more than 175 HP, expecially at high rpms. The power that it delivers in relation to its fuel economy is quite remarkable.
I like that the 2.4L engine is able to put out significantly more power than the 2.2L and keep the same economy. The SS 2.4L is pretty quick and fun to drive and I still get 28 mpg on average just gunning around town with a lead foot and about 20% high
