Why Not the 2006 Chevrolet Equinox?

Powertrain performance

Front wheel drive bites!!! I have driven them all and they all bite!! Not to bad for grandma driving straight down the interstate, but on a rough, twisty road that are bad. Dangerous is the best word for driving a front wheel drive hard on gravel.

Front seat support & comfort

Seat is okay on the interstate, but on a twisty road - forget it! Good thing it has a drivers door and a console, otherwise you would fall out or wind up in the passenger seat. Speaking of the console, what a joke!!! Idiot that designed that should be

Fuel economy

Okay, there was one thing i liked about the Equinox - it got decent mileage - i averaged around 23.5 overall. Mostly highway driving at 60-70 mph.

Controls and instruments

The HVAC system s**ked! AC at 3/4 fan speed on coldest setting when it was 68deg outside. Tahoe doesn't even need AC until it hits 72-74.

Brand reputation & image

I have always been a GM fan. If this Equinox had been my first, I would never have bought another GM vehicle. I have had several Tahoes and Suburbans. All were excellent vehicles.
