Why the 2008 Chevrolet Impala?

Why Not the 2008 Chevrolet Impala?

Powertrain performance

The transmission does not engage immediately after cornering or during hard acceleration. When it does you can hear and feel a loud clunking noise coming from the powertrain. Often times this also causes the tires to "chirp".

Ride smoothness

The suspension is very stiff and most bumps jar the entire car.

Reliability & durability

The above mentioned transmission problem has started when the car reached about 30,000 miles and 1 year old.

Materials & workmanship

Seat fabric is already wearing thin, the belts have begun to fray and the plastic molding around the seat belt fastener is cracking and falling apart.

Fuel economy

In town mileage is less than 15 mpg.

My pet peeve is the A/C plentum control motors Impala has three. I have replaced them all, an now they are acting up again. Cheap plastic gears wear out and they click and it drives you crazy! I am tired of plastic components.
