Reviewed: 2008 Chevrolet Impala

4dr Sedan 233-horsepower 3.9L V6 4-speed automatic FWD

Why the 2008 Chevrolet Impala?

Powertrain performance

The 3900 V6 is very responsive and climbs hills effertlessly. The engine idles very smooth and is easy to live with on a daily basis. The old 4 speed automatic always shifts on time and is smooth.

Fuel economy

Mileage averages 23-24 around town and close to 30 on road trips which is quite good considering engine size and power.

Safety & braking

The brakes have never shuddered or squealed and seem to be lasting a long time. This car stops on a dime.

Front seat room

Very easy to get in and out of this car. Front seat is roomy and fairly comfortable.

Cargo capacity

Big 18.6 cu ft trunk combined with flip/fold rear seat make cargo carrying a breeze.

Why Not the 2008 Chevrolet Impala?

Color choices

The interior needs more color choice options other than black, light tan or light gray.

Rear seat room & comfort

When the drivers seat is all the way back there is little rear seat legroom for tall folks.
