2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

8-cylinder automatic 4WD

140000 mi US $75 Engine lost power and began popping (backfiring) through air intake system. On interstate, got towed to a Ford shop where they disconnected the faulty mass airflow sensor to put the engine in 'limp' mode to drive the final 600 miles home.
141000   Replaced fuel pump module due to failing pump. Car still would run and drive but would crank for some time before it would start. Installed an OEM Delphi brand pump module, I'm a mechanic so only cost incurred was for the part.
