Introduction

We purchased this brand new in September of 2014. We were looking for an economical car for running in to town (we live 25 miles from our primary shopping area) and for moderately long trips (200 miles or so one way).

2014 Chevrolet Sonic Love Letter

One of the reasons for purchasing this car is that it isn't a clone of 90% of the other cars on the road.

The interior is nicely appointed for an economy car and the car is very quiet.

The 1.4L Turbo provides more than adequate power for this type of vehicle and deliver very good mileage. Best to date has been 42 MPG on a 200 mile trip to Madison WI. Overall mileage has aveaged about 34 - 35 MPG in mixed driving.

The car handles well for what it is. I did replace the OE tires within 2 months though as the OE Hankook tires are extremely poor in snow and ice.

My co-worker has the Sedan 1.4T with manual transmission. And loves that little car to dwath. It has a ecu tune and is really quick.
