Backer plates rusted through; parking brake assembly was dangling and catching on inner wheel while driving. Was not something we could live with, and made the parking brake unusable. J&T did a good job; it happens to every older car eventually. Did need to zip tie the cables up to the frame / rear axle due to Tahoe / Yukon design which forces parking break cables to route / lie lower than the rear axle; seems that it would pose a hazard to catch anything that passes under the car.
