Each time Chevrolet redesigns the Tahoe, its face becomes more formidable. The Tahoe's new sides have much more slab to them, with little curvature below a prominent bone lin
The new Tahoe appears especially blocky and upright when viewed directly from the side. Despite updates since 1997, the Expedition's basic shape remains. Note 22s and large side windows.
The engineers and designers couldn't agree on where the rear door's window should end. The new, more upscale interior includes many padded and stitched surfaces.
Thoroughly updated, well-designed controls. Driver seat is comfortable, but less cushy than the Ford's.
The Tahoe's second row is comfortably high off the floor. It takes the opposite of packaging wizardry to fit such a tight third row into such a large vehicle.
Just enough space behind the third row for one row of groceries. You want to use the net. The Expedition's third-row seat is far, far more adult-friendly than the Tahoe's.
Opt for plastic grocery bags, don't use the net, and this will happen. Much more cargo space with the third row folded, but high floor (to enable flat floor) is high.
Wide, deep center console storage compartment. Rails near top for hanging files. 5.3-liter V8 engine runs on on four cylinders when cruising, for surprisingly decent mpg.
