Why the 2008 Chrysler 300?

Exterior styling

It looks very mean and modern, it commands attention and looks high-end

Interior styling

The look and feel of everything inside is outstanding. The design is very modern and classy

Quietness

Until well over 100km/hr you can literally whisper in the car and be heard. The engine sound is quiet but nice, and wind/road noise is very low.

Front seat support & comfort

Tons of room in the front seat. I am tall and I still have the seat adjusted in the middle, not all the way back, with lots of head room and leg room to spare. The passenger side is even better.

Rear seat room & comfort

The back seats have just as much room as the front seats. They fit the whole family with no problems, and you can even pick up the in-laws and they will fit back there perfectly.

Why Not the 2008 Chrysler 300?

Materials & workmanship

The paint on the outside of the car scratches very easily. The dashboard has mis-aligned panels and there are a number of rattles and clunks coming from inside the dashboard.

Reliability & durability

This car goes through tie rod ends almost as fast as you change the oil. In less than 1 year it has been in for 5 different warranty-related repairs and still has random electrical problems.

Dealer practices

The dealerships are sloppy. They massively over-filled my power steering resevoir on one visit, causing it to blow the lid off on the trip home, and on a different visit at a different dealership they left a black greasy hand mark on the white headliner.

Fuel economy

I get about 20-25% worse fuel economy than EPA specified in the city, although on the highway I do 5-10% better, despite my occasional lack of regard for the posted speed limit.
