18000 mi After two weeks of trying to get a service appointment. I walked into CarMax to have the steering slop addressed from the first visit in July. We had just returned from a long weekend to the West Coast of FL with our dogs and the van was very hard to keep in its lane because of the steering slop. I've driven Army trucks that were easier. Van was taken to local Chrysler dealer and the diagnosis was; Failed steering unit. Failed Strut bearings (Both sides), Failed front Struts (Both side) Failed sway bar ends (Both side) Day after Labor Day was the back order expected delivery date of the parts. Oct. 1st parts finally showed up. Repairs have started, in the meantime we have decided to replace this junk with a 2018 Honda Odyssey w/23K miles. Totally have lost any trust in this van, even if the entire steering system is now "New" This should not happen on a three year old van w/18,000 miles

Low speed "clunks" exhibited at low speeds over bumps, rough roads. Early build 2004 Pacificas had bad design bushings on lower control arms, only solution was to replace lower control arms . Owner decided to replace front struts at same time, and alignmen A slight "clunk" exhibited when accelerated from a stop .....does not happen all the time. Does not effect driveability, just a little annoying. Solution: install rubber gaskets on front half shafts, previously addressed with a TSB from 2005. To fix looseness in the steering, the dealer wanted to replace the entire steering rack, for $1150. I found an independent garage to replace steering tie rod ends and sway bar links for a total cost of $640 .
