Why the 2006 Dodge Durango?

Safety & braking

Great breaking capabilities for being such a heavy vehicle. There is a lot of brake dust with stock parts, but I will change brake pads to another brand when the time comes.

Front seat room

I am small, but regardless, there is plenty of room for comfort. The front cabin is so roomy I tend to lose things in it!

Discounts & incentives

I got a $7000 rebate when I bought the Durango. I thought that was an awesome incentive!

Cargo capacity

There is TONS of room in the back! I have been able to move a 52" TV, furniture, a grill, and tons of boxes (not at the same time!) just by lowering the 2 rows of seats.

Why Not the 2006 Dodge Durango?

Exterior styling

I hate how the front end looks pinched. If I could go back in time, I would have bought the 2007 instead of the 2006 for this reason alone.

Insurance cost

The insurance itself is actually cheaper for me than owning a car, but the vehicle has depreciated more since I bought it than any other vehicle I have ever owned! In a year and a half, the Durango has depreciated about $13,000.
