Soft touch materials everywhere, efficient lay out of controls. Accent lighting looks great at night. Best Reason Not to Buy the Dodge Durango: Insurance & depreciation While researching for a new vehicle it was evident the total ownership cost for the Dodge was higher then competitors. Depreciation and fuel economy had the greatest negative contribution. Sine I am averaging 16/22 mileage cost is debatable. The four wheel drive is perfect for poor roads and weather. A member from Nebraska, United States Best Reason to Buy the Dodge Durango: Front seat room With the power adjustable front seat, both myself (at just over 6 feet tall) and my wife (5 foot 5) can find plenty of leg room. The additional seat width is appreciated for me (over our past viechle) as I have long arms & need more elbow room than most. Best Reason Not to Buy the Dodge Durango: Fuel economy Mileage is actually pretty good for an 8 person hauler, but compared to our old 5 passenger SUV we are giving up 2-3 MPG. Will know more after a couple more fill-ups for sure. There is a lot of brake dust with stock parts, but I will change brake pads to another brand when the time comes. Best Reason Not to Buy the Dodge Durango: Exterior styling I hate how the front end looks pinched. If I could go back in time, I would have bought the 2007 instead of the 2006 for this reason alone.
