A lot of the times that doesn't work. We found if we keep it in drive and "crawl" down the driveway (under 5 mph) then open it while moving, it will delete the alert. If that doesn't work, I have found that if the passenger window is opened prior to the driver door being closed, the alert normally doesn't come on. All else fails we drive with the alarm reminding us :-( | ||

Check engine light came on once after that, during a heat advisory and the car was non responsive. Turned car off for few seconds, then back on and it was fine. Took to shop as a precaution, but nothing was found and it has has no further issues. | ||
