4dr SUV 300-horsepower 5.4L V8 6-speed automatic 4WD w/low range

Why the 2007 Ford Expedition?

Past personal experience

My 2nd Expedition (had a 99 that I put over 130K on; still running great when traded in, except a little rust was beginning). Very reliable and a real workhorse

Cargo capacity

Great for long trips with a family/taking the kids to college; no need to worry about what NOT to take; have a 24ft/8.5lb beam 5500lb powerboat with a 1300lb trailer. A very good towing vehicle for a fairly large tow-able boat.

Price or payments

I bought used with 20K miles on it when gas was $4/gallon. Used prices were very depressed relative to new; try to find one with low miles, relatively new and in great shape. Plan on keeping this one for 7-8 yrs (if you can afford the gas).

Front seat room

room to get comfortable on long trips; e-z access to coffee, my phone, my wallet; birds-eye view of the road
