We've owned our Flex for 75,000 glorious miles. Two of our friends families have bought their own after seat time in ours! This is a minivan killer.

Sitting inside the Flex immediately sold my family. Roomy, comfortable, high quality materials, high end features. It is a phenomenal family ride.
The Flex is very well mannered on the road. Quiet, solid, predictable.
We generally have it set up to ride with four people (four buckets). The fold down back isn't quite as big as our ex-mini van -- but it's big enough for an xl dog crate and a lot of cargo. Also use it to tow a pontoon, speed boat, and jet skis. Very capable towing.
Top notch. Soft surfaces wherever you touch. Wonderful heated leather seats. Vista roof rocks. High end feeling.
Pushing 98,000 miles. $300 wheel bearing is biggest/only problem so far.
Why Not the 2009 Ford Flex?
Exterior styling is polarizing. About 40% of the people I know don't care for it. (However, 100% have nothing nice to say after riding in it.)
