The Ford Focus, Gen2 is about the essentials: a no -frills grocery getter with added bonuses. 2010 Ford Focus Pros and Cons nasowas It's an economy car. But it is a quiet economy car. Sure, you hear the engine and some road noise but everything is nicley muffled. The engine note can be a bit buzzy though. Of the three models I drove the one with the highest mileage was the most quiet.... |

2014 Mazda3 s Grand Touring Review Official TrueDelta review by Michael Karesh The cars that ride more smoothly than the Mazda3 also ride more quietly. Though far from loud (that would be my 2003 Mazda Protege5), noise levels are noticeably higher than the segment average. But this segment average is well below where it was just a few years ago. So anyone... Comparison vehicle: 2014 Ford Focus |

2013 Dodge Dart GT Review Official TrueDelta review by Michael Karesh We return to the footsteps of the previous review. Fitting the Dodge Dart with lower profile tires and a firmer suspension has made it little if any louder. Thanks to features like triple door seals, the Dart sounds even quieter inside than a Chevrolet Cruze or Ford Focus. The Buick... Comparison vehicle: 2014 Ford Focus |

2007 Ford Focus ZX4 SES--My Experience 2007 Ford Focus Pros and Cons Member5749 Beware: Extreme road noise at speeds 55mph and higher. Sometimes I can barely hold a conversation with any passengers because it is so loud, like riding in a plane. I usually have to blast the radio to drown out the noise. |

2013 Dodge Dart Limited 2.0 Review Official TrueDelta review by Michael Karesh In sharp contrast to the Neon, noise levels inside the Dart are well below the segment average. Chrysler has even gone to the expense of fitting triple door seals. The Chevrolet Cruze and Ford Focus are about as quiet, though, while the Buick Verano is even quieter. 2007 Ford Focus Pros and Cons Member5661 Car is extremely loud on the highway. You tend to not notice it until you get out after a long stint on the highway. |

2013 Ford Focus ST Review Official TrueDelta review by Michael Karesh The 2012 Focus blew me away by offering the quietness, smoothness, and rock-solid build typical of a $50,000 German car at less than half the price. None of this has been lost in the transformation to the high-performance ST. At 85, the car sounds and feels like it's barely moving.... Comparison vehicle: 2010 Mazda Mazda3 |

2004 Ford Focus Pros and Cons Member5551 Loud. Really, REALLY LOUD. Mostly it's tire noise - the underbody and floor must have almost no sound insulation at all. |
|
2007 Ford Focus Pros and Cons st1100boy Definitely a bit noisy. Partly due to the exhaust (no muffler from the factory), part just general lack of soundproofing. |

2005 Ford Focus Pros and Cons Member3386 The engine when it is working hard is pretty noisy other wise the car is fine. |

2005 Ford Focus Pros and Cons Member3229 The car could definitely be quieter. |

2002 Ford Focus Pros and Cons Member2723 Limited sound deadening, loud road noise if using low profile tires. Bangs, clicks, and knocks are common. |

2007 Ford Focus Pros and Cons Member2379 Can be somewhat loud on the highway. Excessive wind and road noise. |
|
2005 Ford Focus Pros and Cons Member672 There is an awful lot of intake noise from the engine. I think it is because of the plastic plenum that is used. |

2003 Mazda Protege5 2003 Mazda Protege Pros and Cons Official TrueDelta review by Michael Karesh Wind, road, and engine noise are all high. Current (2012) compact cars tend to be much quieter inside. The Protege5 grows tiresome if driven for more than a few miles at highway speeds. Comparison vehicle: 2003 Ford Focus |
