Why the 2006 Ford Ranger?

Price or payments

With the economy the way it is and the big three having poor sales - good deal are easy to come by.

Reliability & durability

This is my 3rd Ranger. I have had very good luck with my past Rangers. I was going to purchase a Toyota pickup. But got a reat deal on another Ranger.

Past personal experience

My first Ranger was a 4 cyl 4x4 1990. I sold it to my son when it was 10 years old. I puchased a 3 year old 1997 3.0 L 4x4 and traded that for my 06 when it was 12 years old. The 12 year old 97 Ranger still had the origonal paint and NO RUST.

Powertrain performance

My latest Ranger has a 4.0 L 5 speed and really hauls a$$. I would have rather had another 3.0 L 4x4 for the great gas mileage - but this 4.0 liter is very inpressive on big hills and pulling a trailer. The tranny is silky smooth. Very nice manual box.

Exterior styling

The hood gives the inpression of housing a monster motor. THe truck comes with nice size tires.

Why Not the 2006 Ford Ranger?

Fuel economy

With todays gas prices I would have liked to have the option of a smaller motor. The 4.0L can really drink fuel
