2005 Ford Ranger 4dr Extended Cab 6ft bed

207-horsepower 4.0L V6 5-speed manual 4WD, part-time w/low range

138000 mi The crankshaft damper failed. The damper is solidly mounted to the crankshaft but to reduce vibration there is a bonded rubber cushion between that solid part and the steel ring that holds the serpentine belt. That rubber separated from the outside ring which then came off. A new damper and belt fixed it.
