Creaking sound during suspension travel (entering vehicle, accelerating, braking, turning, uneven pavement, etc) Front Driver-side lower ball joint. Replaced with new aftermarket ball joint featuring grease point. Used auto parts store's loaner ball joint puller/installer. Also used a torch for removal and installation. Would recommend replacing entire lower control arm for shade-tree mechanics, as using loaner tools in rough shape from your local parts store roughly triples the amount of time involved and the entire assembly is not much more expensive for non-specialty level parts.
