GMC Acadia Real Gas Mileage: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2012 4dr SUV 288-horsepower 3.6L V6
6-speed shiftable automatic FWD
I purchased this vehicle in April of 2012,new with less than 25 miles showing. My wife drives this car to work each day, round trip is approx 30 miles. She is averaging 17 mpg, but on trips I drive and can average 22-23 mpg. I usually cruise the interstate at 70-80 mph. and I do use the cruise control. The mpg will vary but I have seen a high of 25 and a low of 21. Overall very pleased with the ride and comfort, when traveling there are usually 3 adults and luggage. see full GMC Acadia review

2008 4dr SUV 275-horsepower 3.6L V6
6-speed shiftable automatic FWD
Love the fuel economy of the Acadia... we get 19-22mpg in town.. and 22-26mpg on the interstate. Vehicle speed really affects the mileage attained. We get the best mileage at 55-60mph... it really drops when doing 70-80mph.. see full GMC Acadia review

For a vehicle the size, it get decent fuel economy. Driving the speedlimit sure does help, pushing that much air at 80 really hurts fuel economy. see full GMC Acadia review

2008 4dr SUV 275-horsepower 3.6L V6

Even with conservative driving over long distance, was not able to get close to EPA MPG. In order to get those numbers I have to depart too far from my normal driving habits - wont happen easily, no fun. Especially when the Acadia is so willing to sprint. see full GMC Acadia review
