Hard 2 to 3 upshifts during off throttle after acceleration. Very violent bang during full throttle acceleration. Reprogrammed a computer. Still upshift with a more gentle jolt during cruising throttle uplifts.
Leaking oil and shifting funny. Replaced the torque convertor.

Unable to manually shift. Wire has been "cut" somewhere in the shifting equipment. Paid $240 to find out it was going to cost $900 to fix it. Part "not covered" even though it affects manual shifting.
Transmission slips between 2nd and 3rd gear when drving in stop and go traffic under 20-mph. I was able to duplicate this concern for the dealership, but they are unable to fix.
Complete removal of broken transmission and installation of new transmission to include 4-wheel alignment. The transmission would not allow the vehicle to shift higher than 2nd gear.
Transmission was stuck in 5th gear. Mechanics at the dealership disassembled the transmission and discovered torn 1234 clutch piston seal and scored housing. The piston and housing were replaced.
Noticed oil on tranny when I did my own oil change. Took to dealer and was informed the torque converter seal needed to be replaced. 6-8 hour job, and all covered by warranty. Dealer said common to first runs of Terrain and Acadia
the transmission stopped working. I could no longer afford to keep fixing this truck. I traded it in for another SUV with a LifeTime Powertrain warranty. I looked up SUV TSBs and complaints. They ALL have major issues.
Car lost all ability to move itself leaving me stranded on the interstate. Transmission had to be replaced but none was available. Took GM a couple months to get one in.
