Why Not the 2003 Honda Accord?

Dealer practices

Dealer does not want to fix problems under extended warranty. Only when you are stranded and you have to be towed back to the dealership will something be fixed.

Fuel economy

Honda struggles to get 18 in the city (usually gets between 14-18), but highway it is pretty good for a V6 and can get between 26-30 mpg.

Materials & workmanship

Transmissions and V6 engines are very unreliable. Friend owns another 2003 and he has electrical problems. Made in America quality is pretty lousy. Everyone in my neighborhood does not buy a new one when the old one dies - I plan to follow.

Powertrain performance

Unreliable. Failed at 30K like my Acura TL at 61K. Does not get much worse than that. Had a second repair at 84,000. Now at 106,000 and the problems seem to be gone for now.
