Why the 2005 Honda CR-V?

Driving position & visibility

Comfortable upright position and very small blind spots. All controls are easy to access thru the full range of seat positions for the driver.

Powertrain performance

Fuel efficient and plenty of power to pass at highway speeds. Engine inspires confidence. Transmission exceptionally smooth.

Reliability & durability

In six years, only one repair-- replaced rear brake pads.

Cargo capacity

This vehicle can stow as much as a bigger minivan; the space is configurable in useful ways with a large opening making access easy.

Rear seat room & comfort

Surprising comfort on long trips, excellent leg room with rear seats all the way back. Great visibility for rear passengers.

Why Not the 2005 Honda CR-V?

Ride smoothness

Road imperfections are transmitted to the passengers so that riding on poor pavement is more tiring than it should be. Other tires may improve the smoothness slightly. This car has all season radials.

Quietness

Road noise pervades the cabin as if the floor had holes in it. Other noise is dampened nicely -- engine, exhaust, surrounding vehicles do not intrude to the extent that noise form this vehicle in motion does.

Warranty, maintenance cost

One of the shortest warranties in the business. However, quality so good that no repairs arose in first five years of ownership, so length of warranty is not as significant as if the car had a number of required repairs.
