Good lumbar and side support, nicely adjustable seat and wheel. Shifter is very close to the wheel. Fits me like a glove, but my wife does find the seatback slightly tall. see full Honda Civic review

2007 4dr Sedan 197-horsepower 2.0L I4

Frankly, the best seats I have sat in outside of a couple BMW Ms. Supportive, well bolstered with good lateral support. Also good support for the lower back for long drives. see full Honda Civic review

2008 4dr Sedan 140-horsepower 1.8L I4
5-speed automatic FWD
It took me a long time to find a comfortable driving position in this car. It may because of the low seat. I was finally (mostly) successful, but it took a long time to find it, and it is very different than my typical driving position. Also, not great on long trips -- the seat is generally supportive, but it starts to break down a few hours in. see full Honda Civic review

What Our Members Are Saying about the Powertrain of the 2007 Honda Civic

2007 Honda Civic Powertrain: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2008 4dr Sedan 197-horsepower 2.0L I4
6-speed manual FWD
VTEC - the car just asks to be revved, gives you a race car buzz over 5k rpm. Once broken in, with a gentle, partial, throttle it can be driven from 1500 rpm in any gear (that was 2k+ rpm when new). Pedals are nicely set for heel and toe. see full Honda Civic review
2008 4dr Sedan 110-horsepower 1.3L I4 Hybrid
CVT FWD
Electronic assist works when needed and is seamless and unnoticible. see full Honda Civic review
2007 4dr Sedan 197-horsepower 2.0L I4
6-speed manual FWD
excellent performance and fun to drive. Great power to weight ratio for an urban car. Fun at stoplights. see full Honda Civic review
2007 2dr Coupe 197-horsepower 2.0L I4
6-speed manual FWD
Beautiful high revving engine with gobs of power at the high end of the powerband. see full Honda Civic review
2007 4dr Sedan 110-horsepower 1.3L I4 Hybrid
CVT FWD
Acceleration is smooth and the powertrain has no peculiar noises. see full Honda Civic review
2007 4dr Sedan 140-horsepower 1.8L I4
5-speed manual FWD
For a vehicle with a small engine, the tranmission keeps up and is not constantly searching for the right gear. see full Honda Civic review
2007 4dr Sedan 197-horsepower 2.0L I4
6-speed manual FWD
The SI is a rocket...the I-Vtec engine is awesome...where else can you turn 8200 rpm without blowing up the motor? see full Honda Civic review
2007 2dr Coupe 197-horsepower 2.0L I4
6-speed manual FWD
the vtec engine is an absolute kick. very quick acceleration, good economy, two cams switch for economy and performance. it is one of the most spirited cars I have driven see full Honda Civic review
2007 2dr Coupe 140-horsepower 1.8L I4
5-speed manual FWD
Smooth, almost buttery shifting with the manual transmission. Typical of honda gearboxes. Strong first and second gears. see full Honda Civic review
2007 2dr Coupe 197-horsepower 2.0L I4
6-speed manual FWD
When VTEC kicks in at 5800 RPM - the car becomes a whole different animal see full Honda Civic review
2007 Honda Civic Powertrain: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2008 4dr Sedan 140-horsepower 1.8L I4
5-speed automatic FWD
The engine has to scream when at high speeds because it is only 1.8L. There is no shift yourself option on the Auto transmission. Slow acceleration. see full Honda Civic review
2008 4dr Sedan 197-horsepower 2.0L I4
6-speed manual FWD
clutch exploded after 9k miles and dealership and honda usa gave a huge fight as to why it shouldnt be warranty then after much fighting decided to cover it. see full Honda Civic review
2008 4dr Sedan 110-horsepower 1.3L I4 Hybrid
CVT FWD
This is my wifes daily driver so I make the following remarks soley on my behalf. No power almost to the point it feels dangerous, very noisy, etc. see full Honda Civic review
2008 4dr Sedan 140-horsepower 1.8L I4
5-speed automatic FWD
The Civic has gotten heavier and yet the engines are not putting out much more power, only a 13hp bump in 10 years. The base Civic feels anemic and the engine feels dated. Auto trans. feels slow to respond and seems to gear hunt when driven hard. see full Honda Civic review
2008 4dr Sedan 140-horsepower 1.8L I4
5-speed automatic FWD
Automatic transmission sometimes struggles to find a proper gear and can get shift happy when at higher cruising speeds. Engine is punchy enough, but I would opt for the Si for better performance. see full Honda Civic review
2008 4dr Sedan 110-horsepower 1.3L I4 Hybrid

anemic acceleration in middle of power band, poor assistance from hybrid motor see full Honda Civic review
2007 4dr Sedan 197-horsepower 2.0L I4
6-speed manual FWD
One can never be too thin, too rich or have enough horsepower. Limited torque and a high rpm vtec window means the engine needs to be kept at a boil if you want this thing to move. Think 600cc motorcycle. see full Honda Civic review

What Our Members Are Saying about the Tires of the 2007 Honda Civic

2007 Honda Civic Tires: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2008 4dr Sedan 140-horsepower 1.8L I4
5-speed automatic FWD
Specifically, WINTER handling. Excellent handling in summer, lousy road manners in winter. Never had a FWD car that acted so twitchy in the snow. This was withsnow tires of the samestock tire size. When I replaced the tires with a narrower 15" snow tire, handling improved to acceptable -- but the low ground clearance and other factors still make it less than ideal in the wnow. see full Honda Civic review
