Honda Element Reliability And Durability: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2007 4dr SUV 166-horsepower 2.4L I4
5-speed automatic AWD
Zero problems. Durable on modest off-road trails for camping, hiking, etc. Interior handles all sorts of spills, messes, and dirty loads. full 2007 Honda Element review
2006 4dr SUV 166-horsepower 2.4L I4
4-speed automatic AWD
Car runs like a champ, everything works and fits properly. full 2006 Honda Element review
2005 4dr SUV 160-horsepower 2.4L I4
5-speed manual AWD
It might be thirsty and relatively low on power, but the tradeoff is that the powertrain is low-tech and incredibly reliable. No non-maintenance engine repairs, still on the original clutch at 130k. The interior materials are very tough (though they do stain easily), and the only issue I have is that the hard plastic in the cargo area does scratch easier than I would like, but then again I've been hauling quite a bit back there. full 2005 Honda Element review
2004 4dr SUV 160-horsepower 2.4L I4
4-speed automatic AWD
honda is a reliable make. full 2004 Honda Element review
2004 4dr SUV 160-horsepower 2.4L I4
4-speed automatic FWD

2003 4dr SUV 160-horsepower 2.4L I4
4-speed automatic AWD
Currently have 78K miles with only one minor repair which was a replaced shock absorber. full 2003 Honda Element review
2003 4dr SUV 160-horsepower 2.4L I4
4-speed automatic AWD
I have put on 110,000+ miles and the only thing I have done is change oil/filter, tires, brakes plus regular maintenance. full 2003 Honda Element review
