2007 Honda Fit Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Owner Pros and Cons by almk

Fuel economy
We drove the car back to NC from Boston when the car was 3 years old. The trip took a day and a half, and we got better than 40 mpg for large portions of the trip, doing 75 mph on the interstates.
Cargo capacity
We have a toddler, and both of his car seats have fit with no problem in the middle of the back seat, although there's really only room for one other passenger then. The cargo space is massive, more space than a sedan and many SUVs.
Reliability & durability
This car has had no major mechanical issues.
Price or payments
This car was a great value for the money. We could have paid less for a similar hatchback, but I don't feel we would have gotten the safety or reliability of the Fit.
Handling
Ours is a manual, and it's the first manual I learned to drive on. It's simply just fun to drive. It's peppy and responds well.
Exterior styling
The plastic trim on the doors and front has faded considerably, and the paint is chipping at the door handles where you open the car.
Interior styling
If you are a large person, this car may not be comfortable for you. Also, the base model is pretty bare bones in terms of features and stereo.
Quietness
The ride is louder on the interstate. We just turn up the radio.
Rear seat room & comfort
We don't think there would be room for two rear-facing car seats in the back, and I frequently have to sit in the back to let larger people sit in the front seat.
