Took to a mechanic to have it diagnosed and reported an electrical problem with the EGR valve. Mechanic checked the valve and could not find the problem. Further into the EGR valve failure, I checked all the cables and found one cable had been disconnected from the connector of the EGR valve harness. Had the cable connected back. Check Engine light got off after driving 500 km. It turned out that the cable could have got disconnected when the mechanic shop worked on the bad engine mount.
