Passed NC emissions inspection. Radiator was damaged while replacing the front catalytic converter. Both upstream o2 sensors replaced. Factory original. No overt sign of trouble other than sensor being over factory recommended interval of 160,000 km. Mileage and engine responsiveness were down, prompting replacement. O2 sensors degrade gradually until point of complete failure (emitted voltage is at low frequency and amplitude) at which point the CEL lights up. We used an obd scanner with the real time logging functionality to observe the signal coming from my sensors. They weren't far off failure. Fuel economy has improved 15-20 percent.
