2005 Honda S2000 Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Owner Pros and Cons by scherer.jesse

Front seat support & comfort
Seats are aggressively bolstered, but fit very comfortably. I am a 6 foot tall slightly overweight male. The seat adjusts adequately to my height, unlike several other convertibles I have driven.
Handling
Extremely well balanced and gives feedback before any slide. Firm suspension can be rough on bad city roads, though.
Powertrain performance
Very well suited to the car's size and weight. Larger 2.2L engine has more torque, making low-speed and stop-and-go driving much easier than the first generation 2.0L.
Front seat room
Fits taller people than other roadsters I have tried. Probably comparable with modern BMW Z4 but I did not try that.
Insurance cost
Insurance is surprisingly expensive for this car given my age/record and comparison with other cars. The car is no longer made and you must buy it used, so depreciation is a benefit to most buyers. Holds its value well after initial depreciation.
Ride smoothness
Jarring on potholed or badly maintained roads.
Driving position & visibility
Very poor visibility with the top up. Side blind spots are not large, but lack of back side windows makes them very scary. Upward visibility - seat and windshield height make it hard to see overhead traffic lights when first in line even with top down.
Fuel economy
about 20mpg in spirited driving. drinks premium fuel.
