Why the 2010 Hyundai Accent?

Fuel economy

You get close to Hybrid-like mpg without the added cost of a hybrid. One of the highest mileage subcompact cars sold in America today. Drinks regular gas.

Handling

Fun car to drive. Responsive handling, quick enough acceleration, able to make sharp turns.

Reliability & durability

5 years/60000 miles bumper-to-bumper warranty, plus a 10 years/100000 miles power train warranty. Hopefully Hyundai makes a good enough product that I would not have to make use of this long warranty.

Exterior styling

Sporty look. I find it very pleasing to the eye. Not too long, but not too short either, just right.

Why Not the 2010 Hyundai Accent?

Safety & braking

A poor rating from the IIHS for side collision. Braking is fine even without ABS.

Quietness

Little noisy in upper highway speeds. It is fine on lower speeds and city driving.

Color choices

Only one interior color choice for the Blue trim. There are six exterior color choices, but one and only one interior color choice.

Rear seat room & comfort

By definition, being a subcompact means a smaller interior. To be fair, although the Accent is technically a subcompact, the government compares the Accent to compact cars. In fact, the Accent has more interior room than the large Civics or Corollas.
