Fuel filler door release spring failed. Part backordered.

Dealer has yet to receive parts for this problem. Suspect not ordered. Living with semi-functional fuel filler door for now. Valve stem with integral TPMS sensor broke off in hand while attempting to fill tire. Nearest dealer with parts assured problem could be fixed quickly under warranty. Dlr refused svce and attempted to charge. No damage to wheel/tire. Valve stem repaired under Hyundai warranty. Sick of dealing with Hyundai North America and spotty dealer network. Sold car, took proceeds and banked most - spent rest on used Saab 9-5. I'd rather have a fun unreliable car than a boring one.

Gas tank cap doesn't pop out, need to pry it with my fingers. At first dealer lubricated the lock, worked for 1 day. This time they ordered whole new assembly, will replace it when it arrives. Warranty service.
18300 mi
Turns out dealer didn't really order the part as stated last time. This time they adjusted the gas cap door (as opposed to just greasing it the last time) and it has been working fine since.
30000 mi
Tire leaking, discovered valve stem broken. Took car to the nearest non-Hyundai tire place, they yanked out the TPMS valve and chucked it. Had to take it to Hyundai and pay $200 to have new TPMS valve put in. Warranty would have covered it.

US $500
Also adjusted fuel door as always.

US $64
Relief valve broke within the valve stem while getting a tire replaced. Mechanic told me it was my fault for driving without the valve stem caps on because the aluminum valve becomes brittle. I didn't attempt a warranty claim.
